Kenwood KFC-6988RS

Kenwood KFC-6988RS RS Series 6x9" 4-Way Coaxial Speakers The Kenwood KFC-6988RS is a high-performance 6x9" 4-way coaxial speaker system designed to deliver crystal-clear audio and punchy bass for your vehicle. As part of the RS Series, these speakers feature an oversized 6x9" polypropylene woofer with a Diamond Array Pattern to minimize distortion and enhance sound clarity. With a low-profile tweeter design and multiple supertweeters, they provide a wide, immersive soundstage while fitting easily into most factory mounting locations. Elite Performance Features Diamond Array Pattern Woofer: This unique cone design increases structural rigidity to reduce distortion and provide a more accurate, punchy bass response. Acoustic Sound Harmonizer: Strategically engineered to control sound waves from the woofer, ensuring they don't interfere with the higher frequencies for a smooth, natural tone. Sound Field Enhancer: The specialized tweeter shape broadens the sound field in frequencies above 5kHz, creating a wider soundstage that fills your car’s cabin. Factory Location Fit: The tweeter height is kept to a minimum (only 1/2" above the mounting plane), allowing these speakers to fit behind factory grilles in doors, dashes, or rear decks without modification. Enhanced Heat Dissipation: A black-painted yoke and plate efficiently release heat from the magnetic circuit, protecting the voice coil and increasing long-term durability. Optimized Woofer Damper: Features stress-leveling points that improve the mechanical life of the speaker while providing a smoother sound response. What’s in the Box?
