Kennst du Bertolt Brecht?

"And the shark has teeth / And he wears them on his face / And Mackeath has a knife / But you can't see the knife." This new, cheeky tone of the young Brecht revolutionized the theater. His plays are stirring, critical and directed against the bourgeois society of his time. He wants to open the audience's eyes and motivate them to think for themselves. "Change the world, it needs it!" said Brecht. In this spirit, this book offers no ready-made answers. It is intended as a basis for reflection and discussion and is also suitable as teaching material. In addition to biographical information, it contains poems, letter excerpts, quotes and pictures as well as excerpts from Brecht's plays, including The Threepenny Opera, The Good Person of Szechwan, Galileo Galilei, Mother Courage and Her Children. The enclosed CD presents songs, poems and individual scenes.
