Kemtec Science: AIDS Simutest Target Grades: 11-14 Number of Students: Six groups of four students Students become bio-technicians with this AIDS test kit as they run eight samples in a simulated ELISA to determine which patient(s) may have contracted the HIV virus. This kit includes simulated patient serums, conjugate, chromagen, and reusable pre-treated ELISA microtiter plates which may be used to run multiple trials; just add distilled water. This kit is totally safe for student use as it contains no blood serum or infectious diseases. Students experience the world of biotechnology and learn about the HIV virus within this one hour lab investigation. Designed for six groups of four students. This kit is appropriate for college prep or advanced level courses in grades 11 - 12.
