Keller UTV Ball Joint Boot Replacement Kit

A torn boot is not a dead ball joint. Keller boots split on rocks and brush long before the joint itself wears out, and once grit and water get past that seal the internals go downhill fast. This kit replaces the boot with the same durable polyurethane part your joint shipped with, so a split boot becomes a quick repair instead of a new ball joint. Each kit contains four boots and all the zip ties you need, so you can reseal a complete front end or keep spares in the trailer. Which version you need depends on which Keller joint you own, not on which machine you ride — check the part number stamped on the joint against the Fitment list below before ordering. Key Features The exact same boots originally fitted to your Keller ball joints Made of durable polyurethane Four boots per kit — enough for a complete front end, or spares for the trail All required zip ties included Five versions covering the Keller joint range across Polaris, Can-Am, Honda and Kawasaki Restores the seal without replacing the ball joint Built To Solve: Torn and Split Boots on Keller Ball Joints Boot cut open by rocks, brush or trail debris Grease slung out of a split boot and onto the A-arm or wheel Water and grit reaching the ball and cup after a river crossing or a pressure wash A joint that has started to feel gritty since the boot tore Dry rot or UV cracking on an older boot that has not let go yet Wanting spare boots on hand before a long trip rather than after a failure Best For: Keller Ball Joint Owners Doing Preventive or Post-Damage Repair Riders who found a split boot during a pre-ride inspection Mud and water riders who breach boots regularly Anyone already servicing a front end who wants fresh seals while it is apart Owners packing trail spares for a multi-day trip Anyone whose joint is still tight but whose boot has gone If the joint already has play, or the internals feel rough rather than just dry, a boot on its own will not fix it. The Keller ball joint rebuild kit for your make replaces the cup, boot and pin together. Specifications Kit contents: (4) ball joint boots and zip ties Boot material: durable polyurethane Boots are the same parts originally supplied on Keller ball joints Sold as: one kit per Keller joint family — selected by joint part number, not by machine Manufacturer Part Number: BJK-P-XP1KT-BT-K, BJK-P-RG-BT-K, BJKM-P-MRG-BT-K, BJK-P-RZRTR-BT-K-K1, BJK-K-KRX-BT-K Fitment This kit is matched to your ball joint, not to your machine. Keller publishes boot fitment by joint part number, and several boot kits cross makes — so read the part number off the joint rather than choosing by what you ride. BJK-P-XP1KT-BT-K — fits Keller joints BJK-P-XP1KT, BJK-P-XP1KT-HCR, BJK-P-TSPR, BJK-P-TSPR-HCR, BJKM-P-MXP1KT, BJKM-P-MTSPR, BJK-CA-X3L, BJK-CA-X3U, BJKM-CA-ML, BJKM-CA-MU, BJK-CA-GSDOL, BJK-CA-GSDOU, BJK-H-P700L, BJK-H-P1000L, BJK-H-P1000L-001, BJK-H-P1000U, BJK-H-T1000L, BJK-H-T1000U and BJKM-H-MP1000U. Note this one covers a Kawasaki joint as well as the two Polaris joints. BJKM-P-MRG-BT-K — fits Keller joints BJKM-P-MRG and BJKM-K-MTUL. Both are Mega joints, one Polaris and one Kawasaki. BJK-P-RZRTR-BT-K-K1 — fits Keller joint BJK-P-RZRTR. BJK-K-KRX-BT-K — fits Keller joint BJK-K-KRX. Between them these kits cover Keller joints fitted to Polaris RZR, Ranger, Can-Am Maverick X3, Kawasaki Teryx and Teryx KRX, and Honda Pioneer and Talon 1000 machines, in both standard and Mega form. Keller does not publish a machine-by-machine boot chart, so the joint part number is the only reliable match. Fitment is not guaranteed on joints not listed above, and these boots are for Keller ball joints only — they do not fit OEM or other aftermarket joints. FAQ How do I know which boot kit I need? Read the part number off the ball joint itself and match it to the Fitment list above. Choosing by machine does not work here — two of the five kits cover joints from more than one manufacturer, and the widest kit covers Polaris, Can-Am and Honda joints alike. Can I replace just one boot? Yes. The kit contains four boots because most riders either reseal a whole front end at once or want spares, but nothing stops you fitting one and keeping the rest. Will a new boot fix a joint that already clicks or has play? No. A boot restores the seal and stops further contamination — it cannot undo wear that has already happened. If there is play in the joint or it feels rough rather than dry, you need the Keller ball joint rebuild kit for your make, which replaces the cup, boot and pin together. What comes in the kit? Four ball joint boots and the zip ties needed to secure them. Keller does not supply grease in this kit, so plan on having your own on hand to repack the joint while the boot is off. Are these the same boots the joints came with? Yes — Keller states these are the exact same boots originally fitted to the ball joints, in the same durable polyurethane. This is a genuine replacement part, not a universal aftermarket boot. How is this different from the rebuild kit? This kit is the boot only, for a joint whose internals are still good. The rebuild kit is a full service pack — a new cup, boot and 4340 heat-treated pin — for a joint that has actually worn. If the boot tore recently and the joint still feels tight, the boot kit is the right repair. Why Keller Todd Keller's two-piece threaded ball joint was designed to be serviced rather than thrown away, and this kit is the smallest expression of that idea. The boot is a wear item on any ball joint; on a Keller joint it is a wear item you can actually replace, on its own, without touching the housing that is threaded into your A-arm. Keep Your Keller Front End Sealed Before ordering, get the part number off the joint — that is the only thing that determines which of the five kits you need, and it is a two-minute check that avoids returning the wrong part. If the joint has play as well as a torn boot, order the Keller ball joint rebuild kit for your make instead, or alongside this kit if you are doing several corners. Riders resealing a front end usually check tie rod ends and A-arm bushings at the same time, since everything is already apart.
