Kehinde Wiley Limited Edition Magnet

Turn your fridge into a gallery with the Kehinde Wiley Limited Edition Magnet Collection—a bold celebration of art, culture, and history. Featuring two powerful works, “The Death of Hyacinth (Ndey Buri Mboup)” and “The Wounded Achilles”, these magnets bring the intensity and brilliance of Wiley’s artistry into your everyday space. Kehinde Wiley is one of the most celebrated contemporary artists of our time, known for his monumental portraits that place Black subjects in the poses, grandeur, and settings of Old Master paintings. His work redefines the visual language of power and representation, challenging centuries of art history while creating a space where Black identity is central, dignified, and heroic. These particular works come from Wiley’s groundbreaking series An Archaeology of Silence, first exhibited as part of the 59th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia. Expanding on his 2008 DOWN series, Wiley reimagines classical depictions of fallen warriors and figures in repose. With “The Wounded Achilles” and “The Death of Hyacinth”, Wiley presents hauntingly beautiful images of Black bodies at rest, blending vulnerability, strength, and reflection in ways that resonate deeply with today’s world. Get ready to bring a piece of vibrant artistry into your everyday life. Experience the power of Wiley’s extraordinary paintings right on your fridge. Each 3" x 4" lucite magnet showcases his masterful technique and thought-provoking themes, transforming a simple space into one filled with beauty and meaning. And with every purchase, you’re giving back: net proceeds support Black Rock Sénégal, the artists-in-residence program Wiley founded in 2019.
