About: Kcho is a contemporary Cuban artist known for his evocative sculptures and mixed-media works. Deeply inspired by his childhood spent sailing and fishing along the Cuban coast, Kcho often incorporates boat-like forms and recycled materials—bottles, driftwood, and dockside lumber—into his art. His pieces transcend mere nautical themes, weaving in references to Cuban folk icons and honoring the dead, infusing his work with a poignant spiritual undertone. Through his use of salvaged materials and symbolic imagery, Kcho explores themes of migration, memory, and survival, solidifying his place as a powerful voice in contemporary art.
