Kazahana Square Bendable Tin Plate | 4.5"

The Suzugami Kazahana Square Plate is a remarkable expression of Japanese craftsmanship, blending centuries-old metalworking traditions with contemporary functionality. Created in Takaoka, Toyama—Japan's renowned center for metal casting—Suzugami, meaning "tin paper," is an innovative material that is as thin and light as paper yet exceptionally durable and flexible. Each sheet is meticulously hammered by hand, a process that not only imparts a delicate texture but also strengthens the tin, allowing it to be bent, shaped, and reshaped countless times without losing its integrity. Named after Kazahana, the delicate snowflakes that drift through clear winter skies, this distinctive hammered finish evokes the quiet beauty of a gentle snowfall resting upon metal. Designed to adapt to your needs, the Suzugami plate can be transformed from a flat serving surface into sculptural forms for presenting sweets, fruit, appetizers, or treasured objects. Elegant, versatile, and deeply rooted in Japanese artisan traditions, it brings a sense of creativity and mindfulness to everyday rituals.
