Kavalan Distillery Select Whisky

86 proof, 750 ml ]This release from Kavalan is the first single malt from the brand to be created for mixing cocktails. Crafted by master blender, Ian Chang, the whisky is matured "in select malt neutral casks" to showcase the characteristics of the Taiwanese climate without too much wood influence. "Rich, dark toffee and nutmeg spice envelop this medium-bodied malt that could almost be a Speyside, elegantly displaying graham cracker, dried ginger, and a marine quality that hearkens back to the old world. The finish is dry and long." 93 Points, 2019 Ultimate Spirits Challenge
