Kaskit ~ Autumn 2024

Lusciously decadent with the scent of cask-aged bourbon and rich caramel, for those who enjoy a licentious treat…bourbon, vanilla, burnt and caramelized sugars layered with maple, cedar, balsam, labdanum and woodsmoke accords. “Child, them old barrels are seasoned well for certain, but did ya ever hear of the Cask of Doom? No? Well I’ll tell you…one Halloween night, Old Esau had put up his finest bourbon to date, in the hope that he might impress his sweetheart Ardalee into finally accepting his proposal, y’see, and so set out with the barrel to the gatherin’ where there was to be all manner of music and dancin’ and all the vittles one could imagine. And what did he see when he arrived but his beloved gal kissin’ his rival Otis. But he took it in his stride, and invited the man back to his homestead in Shafter Hollow for more of a taste, as the bourbon had been quite popular at the party. Well, as you can imagine, Otis disappeared that very night, neither hide nor hair of him was ever found, and Ardalee ended up marrying Esau in the end. But she always said there was somethin’ reminded her of her lost love when she had occasion to taste that bourbon…” Scent: Bourbon caramel and the aroma of the inside of a smoky bourbon cask.   .:*~*:._.:*~*:._.:*~*:._.:*~*:.
