Kask Protone Icon - Black

Is the Kask Protone Icon the right flagship road helmet for road, gravel, and XC? The Kask Protone Icon in Black is Kask's reimagined flagship all-round helmet, built to deliver perfect equilibrium between performance, aerodynamics, and safety across road, gravel, cyclocross, and MTB cross-country. A redesigned internal strengthening frame increases mechanical strength and compactness so that on impact, the helmet does not break into multiple pieces and keeps more protection around the rider's head. Seamless construction joins the upper and lower shells for a refined, elegant finish and improved aerodynamics. The OCTOFIT+ retention system uses a large rubber-coated rotation cap for improved finger grip and a redesigned vertical stabilizer across the nape for ergonomic neck support and a customized fit, even for riders with longer hair. Inside, the CoolMax internal lining wicks moisture, dries quickly, and is fully removable and washable for sustained freshness across long training blocks. The faux leather chinstrap is anallergic and easy to clean, designed for daily use without skin irritation. A rear reflective insert improves visibility in low-light conditions. Tested against Kask's own Rotational Impact WG11 Test protocol, an objective scientific standard that surpasses international safety norms, the Protone Icon is the helmet that earns its place as the benchmark for cyclists who race on weekends and train every day in between.
