This action breaks the water into tiny droplets, increasing its contact with air. More contact allows for more oxygen absorption and more gas release, like carbon dioxide. This method is different from other aeration systems that rely on diffusers or bubblers at the bottom. The ability to add up to 3.0 lbs of oxygen per horsepower each hour means these aerators can quickly saturate the water with oxygen, making them highly effective for rapid water quality improvement.
