Washing and special treatments as such as handpainting, waxing and oiling increase this uniqueness. All tanned animal hides are unique in their composition, their thickness, in the way they react to dyeing and processing. Irregularities of the hides like pigmentations marks, vein marks and insect punctures are characteristics which attest the authenticity of the leather. Deviation in color, crimpling of the seams, color abrasion at the edges, individual painted seams and areas are designedly and no reason for claims Leather garments should be protected from intensive source of light. A certain color abrasion should be considered normal. If leather gets too wet, dry it slowly. Speed drying leather changes its chemical structure, and you end up with stiff crinkle cut chaos. So room temperature drying with gentle air works better than direct heater time with hair-dryer. Flat dry and shape it as you want it to end up. If leather gets too wet, dry it slowly.
