Karbonius E46 M3 CSL (S54) Carbon Airbox

The Karbonius E46 M3 CSL (S54) Carbon Airbox is the definitive intake upgrade for enthusiasts seeking authentic CSL performance, motorsport sound, and OEM-level fitment. Inspired by the legendary BMW M3 CSL, this system transforms the driving experience with increased horsepower, sharper throttle response, and one of the most iconic induction sounds ever produced on the S54 platform. Manufactured entirely from 100% prepreg carbon fiber, the Karbonius E46 M3 CSL airbox is autoclave-cured at 125°C in Spain under strict ISO 9001 quality standards. Weighing just 1.7 kg, it offers an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio while delivering the precision, durability, and finish expected from a premium carbon fiber intake system. Using advanced 3D scans of a genuine OEM CSL airbox, Karbonius has refined and improved the original design to enhance airflow efficiency, cylinder filling, and long-term durability. Every detail is engineered for real performance gains while maintaining the correct CSL appearance. Performance Engineering Carbon fiber velocity stacks replace factory plastic components for reduced weight and increased rigidity Optimized 51.5mm trumpet diameter (vs. 50mm OEM) improves airflow and engine breathing Redesigned sixth runner balances airflow distribution across all cylinders Refined internal chamber with hand-finished surfaces reduces turbulence Smoother airflow results in improved throttle response and engine efficiency All aluminum components are CNC-machined and anodized, paired with stainless-steel hardware for long-term durability. Carbon weave orientation is carefully matched for a symmetrical OEM+ appearance, while a neoprene foam gasket ensures a proper hermetic seal between airbox sections. Performance Gains & Driving Experience When paired with proper supporting modifications and tuning, the Karbonius E46 M3 CSL Carbon Airbox can deliver gains of up to 25 horsepower. Beyond measurable performance, the system unlocks the unmistakable CSL induction sound, creating a visceral, high-revving experience that defines the S54 engine.
