Kansas Crescent Moon (canvas wrap)

The original Kansas Crescent Moon is painted on a road map of Kansas. The shape and orientation of the Kansas map lent itself perfectly to a landscape painting. Trying to decide what scene to paint over each map, I try to capture a feeling of that particular state without covering up too many places. The windmill and moon give it a timeless and dream-like feeling to this painting. It was painted using acrylic paints thinned with water to allow the map to  show through. I used the raised gold metal at the horizon on the original and do the same with the reproductions. It is available in two sizes. * Brian Kansas Crescent Moon is a one of a kind hand embellished reproduction using our raised “Molten Metals” process. This added dimension makes it look like the original but at a fraction of the cost. Printed on a ready to hang 1.5" deep canvas, the edges are gallery wrapped in black so there's no need to frame! Due to the handcrafted nature of this artwork, each piece may have subtle differences. Sizes: 24"H x 30"W 30"H x 40"W Also available as a 16"H x 20"W photo print. Click here for details>.
