Kanji Tamago: Pre-intermediate

We are now stocking the new edition of the pre-intermediate level of the very popular Kanji Tamago series of books from leading publishers Bonjinsha.  As you probably know, “tamago” means egg in Japanese. The premise of these books is that the egg signifies the growth of the learners. First, students learn the fundamental rules of kanji and the elementary characters by heart. Then based on the acquired knowledge, learners will actively learn characters of their own interest or specialty, with the hope that finally, they will explore their newfound ability and knowledge of kanji in their everyday social life. The writers believe that this process resembles the growth of an egg. The textbooks were written to help learners acquire the ability to use kanji in the real world. The book introduces a series of important and relevant kanji corresponding to 15 topics and contexts. There is also lots of advice for kanji learners to help them be able to select the method which suits them best.  In each section, you will get hands-on practice in conditions close to real-life communication situations, and that will help you develop the skills to read and write kanji that will help you in the real world. This book can also be used in conjunction with other books as part of the kanji study necessary for passing levels N5 and N4 of the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test.
