Kai Vodka 750ml

Kai Vodka takes a genuinely different path than most vodkas on the shelf — rather than the wheat, corn, or potato bases most producers rely on, Kai is distilled entirely from Yellow Blossom rice, a naturally sweet, glutinous variety grown in northern Vietnam's Red River Delta. The recipe itself carries real history: it's based on a 600-year-old formula developed by a woman master distiller, and the water used throughout production is drawn from a 1,500-foot artesian well. The name "Kai" is a deliberate choice too, carrying positive meaning across three different languages. Because glutinous rice is naturally rich in body and character, Kai achieves a genuine textural depth without any of the additives — sugar, glycerin, vanilla — that cheaper vodkas often rely on to fake that same fullness. The result is a spirit that's naturally gluten-free, a genuine benefit for Celiac or wheat-intolerant drinkers, since the rice base contains no gluten at all. Spirits Review's independent tasting found the vodka delivering "a plump, almost oily body" that glides "past the tongue nipping at it with the alcohol edge and nice lingering finish," describing "wonderful sweetness and almost a fruit like fullness with the higher notes." The reviewer specifically praised the honesty of that body: "a body that cheaper vodkas strive for by doping with sugar, glycerin, or vanilla but this vodka comes by it honestly through the use of glutinous rice." On serving, the reviewer noted it's "very nice at room temperature (try your vodka warm) which is always a good sign," and found the martini application "excellent," concluding the vodka "can add some delicate subtleties and texture to your drink." This is genuinely distinctive vodka — real depth and character from an unusual, historically rooted rice base, rather than a neutral, flavorless canvas. Origins & Craftsmanship Kai Vodka is produced by the Kai Vodka Company in the Red River Delta of northern Vietnam, distilled from Yellow Blossom rice — a naturally sweet, glutinous variety selected specifically for the body and character it brings to the finished spirit. The recipe is based on a 600-year-old formula developed by a woman master distiller, and water used throughout production is drawn from a 1,500-foot artesian well.
