Precise Engine Power Control The pedal sends a signal to the ECM, which then controls the Electronic Throttle Body to let in the right amount of air for the requested power. 2. Enable Drive-by-Wire Systems Modern “drive-by-wire” systems rely on the pedal’s electronic signal instead of a cable, allowing smoother and faster throttle response. 3. Improve Fuel Efficiency The ECM can optimize fuel delivery based on precise pedal input, reducing unnecessary fuel consumption. 4. Reduce Emissions By controlling airflow and fuel electronically, the system ensures cleaner combustion. 5. Integrate With Safety and Assistance Systems Works with cruise control, traction control, stability control, and engine-limiting functions, allowing the car to automatically manage engine power when needed. Signs of a Front Radar Assembly K289959R000 1. Warning lights on the dashboard Collision mitigation system warning Adaptive cruise control (ACC) disabled General fault or check engine light 2. Adaptive cruise control not working ACC won’t turn on System shuts off while driving 3. Collision warning system not functioning No alerts when approaching vehicles too quickly System becomes unavailable 4. Automatic emergency braking (AEB) issues AEB not activating when expected System disabled or showing faults 5. False warnings or random alerts Sudden collision warnings with no obstacle Beeping or alerts when road is clear Often caused by: Faulty radar sensor Misalignment Internal failure 6. “Sensor blocked” message (even when clean) Warning appears even when the radar area is clear Internal sensor failure Wiring or connection issues 7. Inconsistent or erratic behavior Systems work sometimes, then stop Intermittent faults 8. Calibration errors Radar cannot be calibrated Shop reports alignment failure About the Manufacturer – Bendix: Bendix is a leading manufacturer of air brake systems, safety technologies, and control components for commercial trucks, buses, and trailers.
