K2 Mountain II

Northern Pakistan’s strenuous K2 base camp trek is one of the globe’s most famous routes, boasting magnificent views of K2—the world’s second-highest peak. Seeing the Karakoram Mountains quilted in snow is an unparalleled experience you will never forget—whether you encounter it firsthand or through this image captured by photographer Chris Henry. Chris trekked for 10 days to procure this shot. At Concordia, a popular base camp deep in the Karakoram Mountains, he set up a tent in front of K2—nicknamed Savage Mountain because it has claimed the lives of hundreds who have tried to reach its pinnacle. “Taking in the awe-inspiring monster from camp was enough for me, and this photo will forever serve as the trophy for my effort of traversing some of the highest and most unforgiving terrain in the world,” Chris shares. A print of K2 on your wall will represent the ultimate symbol of adventure, resilience and nature’s raw beauty. Its towering, snow-covered peak reminds viewers of the power of human determination and the majesty of the wild.
