JYG Chubby 5" Jig Heads

The CHUBBY 5" is built for maximum presence, delivering a tall profile and large tail designed for bigger, slower presentations when targeting trophy-class predators. It’s the ideal choice when fish are keyed into thicker, larger baits such as menhaden (bunker), croakers, and big pilchards—especially in deeper water or stronger current.   Designed for slow-rolling, the 5" CHUBBY maintains tail action at very low speeds, yet can still be burned on top without excessive roll to keep the presentation natural. EZ-RIG System (Patent Pending) – Innovative quick-connect design that keeps the bait perfectly aligned, secure, and reusable. Taller Profile Swimbait – Built for predators keyed into thicker baitfish like pilchards, shad, menhaden (bunker), and croakers. Slow-Roll Optimized – Designed to be reeled at much lower speeds than most baits without losing tail action. Natural High-Speed Retrieve – Can still be burned on top without excessive side-to-side roll. Durable Soft Plastic – Balanced flexibility for lifelike motion and extended lifespan. UV Finishes – Enhanced visibility in low light situations. 3X BKK Tuna Hook – Reliable strength for confident hookups. The 5" CHUBBY is the power model, built for situations where you need size, displacement, and a slow presentation to trigger aggressive strikes. It excels in deeper zones, heavier current, and around structure holding large predators.   When to Use: When fish are feeding on larger, thicker-profile baitfish. In deeper water or strong current where displacement helps visibility. Around reefs, bridges, jetties, and heavy structure. When you need a heavy-duty hook configuration for trophy-class fish. At the heart of every SWYM is a patent-pending connection system developed by JYG PRO FISHING. It allows the soft body to attach or detach from the jig head in seconds—no tearing, glue, or tools needed. The design keeps the body and head perfectly aligned, preserving balance and action even after repeated use. For anglers, it means less rigging time, more versatility, and longer lure life—a cleaner, more efficient setup built to perform in both inshore and offshore conditions.
