HPE Aruba 7240 (RW) Mobility Controller JW759A

BRAND NEW. FACTORY SEALED. FULL HPE WARRANTY INCLUDED. MANUFACTURED BY HPE ARUBA. FROM CHICAGO COMPUTER SUPPLY Overview The HPE Aruba 7240 (RW) Mobility Controller (JW759A) is best suited for large, high-density Wi-Fi environments that require strong security, centralized control, and predictable performance. It runs as a wired network management platform that handles authentication, encryption, VPN connectivity, and IPv4/IPv6 Layer 3 services from a single location. This controller supports clustering and centralized management, so teams can scale to multiple controllers without scaling headcount. With up to 40 Gbps throughput and high session capacity, JW759A fits enterprise campuses, healthcare networks, large offices, and distributed organizations that depend on always-on wireless access. Key Features Up to 40 Gbps throughput for high-demand WLAN networks Supports up to 2,048 access points, including remote Aps Handles up to 32,768 concurrent client devices Built-in IPSec support for secure connectivity Centralized management with clustering for large deployments High session scale for firewall, GRE, and tunneled traffic Hot-plug internal power supply with optional redundancy Technical Specifications Manufacturer: HPE Aruba Model / Part Number: JW759A Device Type: Network management device/mobility controller Built-in Devices: Status LCD Form Factor: External Connectivity Technology: Wired Data Link Protocol: Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, 10 Gigabit Ethernet Network / Transport Protocol: IPSec Performance and Capacity Throughput: 40 Gbps Maximum Access Points: 2,048 Maximum Remote Access Points: 2,048 Concurrent Devices: 32,768 Virtual Interfaces (VLANs): 4,094 Concurrent GRE Tunnels: 32,768 Concurrent Tunneled Ports: 16,384 Concurrent IPSec Sessions: 32,768 Concurrent SSL Fallback Sessions: 8,192 Active Firewall Sessions: 2,015,291 Interfaces 4 × 10GBase-X (SFP+) 2 × 1000Base-T (RJ-45) 1 × 1000 Ethernet (SFP mini-GBIC) 1 × Management (RS-232) RJ-45 1 × Management (USB) 1 × USB 2.0 Expansion Slots: 1 total / 1 free expansion slot Power Power Device: Internal hot-plug power supply Installed Power Supplies: 1 Max Supported Power Supplies: 2 Power Redundancy: Optional Voltage Required: AC 120/230 V (50/60 Hz) Power Consumption (Operational): 165 W Physical Width: 44.5 cm Depth: 44.5 cm Height: 4.4 cm Weight: 7.45 kg Use Cases The Aruba 7240 (RW) Mobility Controller JW759A is a strong fit for enterprise WLAN deployments where thousands of users connect at once, and downtime is not an option. Teams use it to manage large access point fleets centrally, enforce authentication and encryption policies, and maintain application performance stability during peak hours. It also works well for organizations that need secure, tunnelled connectivity for remote sites, branch rollouts, and distributed wireless architectures, since it supports IPSec, large GRE tunnel counts, and high firewall session scale.
