Juliet Hat

Make your romantic appearance to the party or at your rosy, moonlit balcony. You might display billowy sleeved finery, with layers of long skirts, and perfectly applied blush on your cheeks. But if you really want the iconic look, you need this hat! This classic Juliet headpiece has become such a standard that the style has been copied for wedding veils all over the world. Pinning back the hair in subdued, elegant fashion, it suggests legendary romantic moonlight proposals. This lovely cap is a staple for any historic costume wardrobe. Perfect for Shakespeare plays and Renaissance Faires alike, the high-quality accessory can be used again and again. It's made up of gold mesh netting in the middle and trimmed with stiffened, dark red velvet. Faux pearl buttons anchor each side. There is an elastic loop at each end so you can pin this to your hair (pins not included). While it makes a great piece for medieval and Elizabethan costumes, Juliet caps were also popular in the early 1900s and can be paired with smart suits from the 1920s to the 1940s!
