It'll be sure to add texture and a sense of proper elegance! Of course, using the evergreen as an accent is always a great idea. Since this thornless plant produces no flowers, it makes a great addition to flower beds as an accent. It'll add to the appeal without taking away the majesty already in the garden. If you've been thinking about creating the perfect cottage garden look, there's no better hedge edging to use than Juke Box! Line your property with them or add them against the walls of your house for fabulous evergreen foliage foundation plantings. Your yard might also appreciate that little touch of green extending into fall and winter to go along with the oranges, yellows, and reds of the changing deciduous leaves. The leaves and fine branches would also look quite stunning together clumped in mass plantings! The bottom line is that Juke Box gives you all the same benefits as a boxwood with the added bonus of extra and unique texture! #ProPlantTips for Care This excellent landscaping plant is so easy to take care of, you might have to plant it to believe it! Of course, we'll go over some basics anyways. It'll thrive in full sun soaking up those golden sun rays, but it'll do just as well in part shade. Especially if it can have a little reprieve from the midday summer sun. Juke Box is quite disease resistant, making that one less thing to worry about. It's also left alone by deer, for the most part, double score! When picking out a spot for your Pyracomeles, keep in mind that well drained soils will keep it the healthiest. It's also always a good idea to make sure your plants have good air circulation. As mentioned earlier, feel free to prune to your exact desired shape. Simply prune after new growth has flushed out but before it becomes especially woody. Feel free to trim, train, and clip away! It's usually a good idea to add a layer of mulch around the base of your plants. Nothing too over the top, a thin covering around the base, one inch from the trunk, will help keep the roots cool and conserve water during those scorching summer months. Prim and proper really are two of the best words to describe this plant. Giving all the elegance of an evergreen shrub with extra texture to keep the eyes wanting more.
