Journey Stone -- Compass Rose Dendritic Jasper Pendant in Bronze or Silver

This design is inspired by the compass rose on old nautical maps. Arrows point in the cardinal directions, with the boldest spires at the North, East, South, and west. On the reverse side, the stone is braced against a solar cross, the alchemical symbol for the world, and one of the most ancient sacred symbols known to man. It frames a disk of dendritic jasper, a stone famous for its uncanny resemblance to landscape paintings or ancient maps, with details that seem to hold the memory mountains, trees, lakes, and twisting rivers. These features look like fossils, but they are actually caused by metal deposits in the silica, a crypto-crystaline garden that has growing for many thousands of years. Look to this stone and know that you carry the earth's memory with as you journey into Terra Incognita, the lands unknown. Each Stone is unique... Generally, they appear like the three examples above, (left to right) a colorfully layered sedimentary landscape appearance, a pale sandy appearance with dark metallic pools, or a densely-detailed maplike appearance. I can also show you the stones I have currently available upon request. Matches beautifully with our custom antiqued brass and silver chains.
