Josephine

With one baby in her arms and the other in a small coffin, Josephine arrived in the United States after a harrowing journey that began in a Kenyan convent and continued as a missionary’s wife. Josephine’s story is one of perseverance, unwavering faith, and survival against all odds. For the oppressed, survival is a God-given instinct that fuels the mind. It was the same for Josephine, whose life has been a constant battle against war, colonialism, and personal loss. Yet, despite all of this, she managed to find the strength to fight for her own freedom. Josephine’s story is not just one of survival of the fittest, but of survival of the weakest. It is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit, even in the face of unimaginable adversity.
