Jon Nelson Unseen Basics Set

Created in collaboration with renowned tattoo artist Jon Nelson, the Unseen Basics Artist Series Set strips black and grey tattooing down to its essential foundations. Designed for artists who want a simple, effective system, this four-bottle set removes the guesswork from building smooth blends, clean gradients, and consistent black and grey work. Whether you're just beginning your black and grey journey or you're a seasoned artist looking for a streamlined approach, Unseen Basics provides everything needed to create a full range of values with confidence. The Set Includes: More Blak – Maximum saturation for bold blacks, solid fills, and the deepest values. Just Blak – Your everyday working black, ideal for lining, shading, and building strong contrast. Half Blak – A balanced mid-tone wash for smooth transitions, soft shading, and creating depth. No Blak – A pure shading solution for extending blends, softening transitions, and achieving the lightest values. Built around Jon's philosophy that great tattooing starts with mastering the fundamentals, the Unseen Basics Set delivers a straightforward system that allows artists to focus less on mixing and more on creating.
