Johnson Wax Building Planter Medium by Frank Lloyd Wright

Striking a perfect balance between architectural presence and functional design, the medium Johnson Wax Building Planter by Frank Lloyd Wright captures the spirit of one of his most groundbreaking works. Inspired by the iconic Johnson Wax Administration Building in Racine, Wisconsin, this planter reflects Wright’s bold vision during a transformative period in American architecture. Designed in 1936, the Johnson Wax Building introduced revolutionary concepts, including the now-famous dendriform columns—often described as lily pads—that rise with remarkable elegance while providing structural strength. This planter echoes that same philosophy through its rhythmic horizontal ribbing and gently tapered silhouette, creating a sense of movement, balance, and modern sophistication. Standing 24 inches high and spanning an impressive 36 inches wide, this medium-sized planter offers generous planting space while maintaining refined proportions. It is ideally suited for patios, entryways, garden walls, or commercial landscapes where a strong yet elegant focal point is desired. Its scale allows for lush plantings without overwhelming the surrounding space, making it a versatile addition to both contemporary and traditional settings. Crafted in America using advanced dry-cast stone techniques, this planter delivers exceptional durability, weather resistance, and resistance to abrasion. It captures the look of finely carved stone while offering long-lasting performance and the ability to develop a rich, natural patina over time. Available in a selection of finish colors, it can be customized to complement a wide range of architectural styles. For a cohesive and dramatic landscape design, consider pairing multiple planters or combining sizes for a tiered effect—Statue.com will reduce shipping costs when ordering more than one.
