Johnny Jump-Up

Do you remember the first seed you ever planted? Our earliest memories of plants- whether from childhood or later in life- become the roots of life-long relationships with plants. Johnny-Jump-Ups were the first seeds planted by Hudson Valley Seed Co co-founder K Greene in nursery school. His memories of planting the tiny seeds, bringing the seedlings home, and planting them under the crabapple tree remain vivid because these Wild Pansies came back every year- keeping the familial bond alive. Make new ever-lasting memories with your plant kin by sowing these hearty, edible, wild pansies.
