John Boos Pro Prep Block – 4" End-Grain Maple Butcher Block Table

John Boos Pro Prep Block – 4" End‑Grain Maple Butcher Block Table (Stainless Accents) Built for daily prep and dressed for display, the Pro Prep Block (PPB) combines a substantial 4‑inch end‑grain Northern Hard Rock Maple top with handsome stainless‑steel tie bars and towel bars. It’s the piece that invites you to chop, roll, and serve—then draws compliments long after the plates are cleared. A Workhorse with a Soft Landing End‑grain wood stands its fibers upright like tiny springs. Your knife meets a forgiving surface that helps it stay sharp, while the checkerboard pattern turns everyday prep into a quiet ritual. The thick maple top absorbs sound and vibration—less clatter, more calm. Knife‑friendly: true end‑grain is gentler on edges. Heirloom patina: marks mellow beautifully with care. Cook‑to‑serve: present charcuterie or sliced roasts right on the block. Edgework & Details that Feel Like Craft The 3/8" bevel edges (45°) soften the silhouette and feel smooth in the hand. 1‑1/4" round stainless tie bars add rigidity and a subtle gleam; dual stainless towel bars keep a side towel exactly where you need it. Make It Yours: Colors, Drawer, Casters Choose from nine base finishes (paint and stain). Add the D14 15" utensil drawer for organized tools (available on 30"×24", 30"×30", and 36"×24" sizes), and consider CAS03 2.5" locking casters for mobility. Roll into place for prep; lock for service. Note: Drawer not available on the 24"×24" model. Color Disclaimer: Colors may vary by screen/monitor settings. Use the on‑page color chart for close approximations. Features & Benefits 4" End‑Grain Maple Top — resilient, knife‑friendly surface with the classic checkerboard look.
