Joe’s Foam Hopper

Joe’s Foam Hopper — the grasshopper that refuses to sink Meet Joe’s Foam Hopper: the classic grasshopper pattern with a foam body that laughs in the face of soggy flies. Two sentences, one promise — it floats higher, stays drier, and looks like breakfast to every trout within smelling distance. Made for anglers who prefer their flies buoyant and their weekends legendary. AXG Life — Life, Adventure-Ready. Key Features & Design Classic pattern: Joe’s all-time favorite grasshopper silhouette, proven to get attention. Foam body: Built with flotation-focused foam that resists water intake and keeps the fly riding high. Improved float: Floats higher and longer than the original, so you spend less time drying flies and more time catching fish. Sizes: Available in #06 through #16 to match whatever the fish are gossiping about that day. Performance & Benefits This is the fly you trust when the lake turns reflective and your patience thins. The foam body blocks water like a tiny life jacket, staying buoyant after cast after cast so you don’t have to retie mid-adventure. That higher profile makes it visible to fish — and to you when it bobs like a tiny green buoy — so strikes are easier to spot and land. Whether you’re skimming the surface during midday hopper season or improvising when dinner is on the line, Joe’s Foam Hopper turns stuck weekends into hero stories. Designed for those midnight trout dreams and questionable decisions at the end of a long hike, it’s practical, durable, and annoyingly effective. Why you’ll like it Less water absorption = less soggy flop and more reliable float time. Ready for multiple casts without losing performance. Range of sizes covers hatch variations so you can match the menu. Toss it in your fly box and make better campfire stories — add Joe’s Foam Hopper to your rig and let the fish do the talking.
