JLPT N3 Reading – Points & Practice

The JLPT Points & Practice series is a collection of questions and pointers to help you acquire the minimum skills required to pass the JLPT exam in a short period of time. This book is designed to help students studying for the N3-level reading comprehension questions. There are 12 units in total organized by grammar-related devices (such as “connecting phrases,” “omitting subjects,” etc.) and types of reading material (such as emails and written opinion pieces, etc.) You will learn different writing styles and how to derive the correct answers from different kinds of reading passages.  There are lots of actual exam-style questions in all the units, and each question comes with a translation and a commentary that not only gives reasons for the correct answer but also explains why people often make mistakes and give the wrong answer.  The answers and explanations of the questions come with English, Chinese, and Vietnamese translation, and the book always illustrates the part of the text where you can elicit the correct answer, so the book is ideal for self-study. There is also a complete mock test included. If you are preparing for the JLPT N3, this is a really great book to help you find your weak points and build on them, giving you the necessary skills to pass the test!
