The JHS The Fumble is a compact JFET clean boost pedal born from one of the most unexpected stories in JHS history. Originally released accidentally as part of the NOTADÜMBLË V1 DIY kit, the circuit quickly gained a devoted following for its uniquely musical clean enhancement, dynamic feel, and ability to transform everything downstream in a signal chain. What began as a mistaken inclusion turned out to be a recreation of the Dumble BBC-1 — itself derived from a 1970s Barcus Berry acoustic preamp design that eventually became the foundation for the famed Dumble FET input stage.
