Jefferson River - Summer Fly Box

Fish the Jefferson like you know it — because now you do.   The Jefferson River Summer Fly Box is hand-curated specifically for the conditions, hatches, and trout behavior you'll encounter on the Jefferson from June through August. Summer is the Jefferson's signature season. Warm afternoons, grassy banks loaded with grasshoppers, and big brown trout lurking in undercut banks make this a classic Montana float trip.   This box is built around the Jefferson's summer hatch calendar — caddis, grasshoppers, and PMDs. Every fly was chosen with hopper fishing along the banks from a drift boat in mind, giving you exactly what you need to match what the fish are eating at this time of year.   What's in the box: 36 flies total — 18 unique patterns, 2 of each — covering large hopper patterns, caddis dries, PMD emergers, and streamer patterns. No filler. No patterns that don't belong on this river in this season.   Pro tip from the water: Slap hoppers tight to the bank — within inches if you can manage it. Jefferson browns hold tight to the grass and aren't going to move far for a fly in the middle of the river.   Whether you're making your first trip to the Jefferson or you fish it every season, this box gives you a proven starting lineup so you can spend more time fishing and less time digging through bins at the fly shop.   Includes a quality waterproof fly box. All flies are hand-tied to Bozeman FlyWorks standards — the same quality we'd put on our own lines.
