Jefferson River - Spring Fly Box

Fish the Jefferson like you know it — because now you do.   The Jefferson River Spring Fly Box is hand-curated specifically for the conditions, hatches, and trout behavior you'll encounter on the Jefferson from April through early June. Spring flows on the Jefferson can be high and off-color through May, making it a nymphing river early in the season. Fish hold in slower side channels and behind structure.   This box is built around the Jefferson's spring hatch calendar — midges, BWOs, and early stoneflies. Every fly was chosen with nymphing slower water and side channels in mind, giving you exactly what you need to match what the fish are eating at this time of year.   What's in the box: 36 flies total — 18 unique patterns, 2 of each — covering stonefly nymphs, midge patterns, BWO emergers, and egg patterns. No filler. No patterns that don't belong on this river in this season.   Pro tip from the water: Spring on the Jefferson rewards patience. Find the slack water along the banks and nymph deep — fish aren't holding in the fast current when flows are high.   Whether you're making your first trip to the Jefferson or you fish it every season, this box gives you a proven starting lineup so you can spend more time fishing and less time digging through bins at the fly shop.   Includes a quality waterproof fly box. All flies are hand-tied to Bozeman FlyWorks standards — the same quality we'd put on our own lines.
