Jefferson River - Fall Fly Box

Fish the Jefferson like you know it — because now you do.   The Jefferson River Fall Fly Box is hand-curated specifically for the conditions, hatches, and trout behavior you'll encounter on the Jefferson from September through November. Fall brings aggressive brown trout and streamer opportunities that are hard to match anywhere in the state. Pre-spawn browns stack in the deeper runs and are looking for something substantial.   This box is built around the Jefferson's fall hatch calendar — blue-winged olives and late caddis. Every fly was chosen with streamer fishing and swinging soft hackles in mind, giving you exactly what you need to match what the fish are eating at this time of year.   What's in the box: 36 flies total — 18 unique patterns, 2 of each — covering large streamers, sculpin patterns, BWO dries, and big attractor nymphs. No filler. No patterns that don't belong on this river in this season.   Pro tip from the water: October streamer fishing on the Jefferson can be extraordinary. Use big, aggressive patterns and strip them hard through the deeper bends.   Whether you're making your first trip to the Jefferson or you fish it every season, this box gives you a proven starting lineup so you can spend more time fishing and less time digging through bins at the fly shop.   Includes a quality waterproof fly box. All flies are hand-tied to Bozeman FlyWorks standards — the same quality we'd put on our own lines.
