Lined Sweetfish / Mixed Media Sculpture by Judy B. Freeman

"I use real reef fish as my inspiration for the markings. These fish were created by hand, by me using polymer clay. The polymer gets baked in the oven at 275f to cure. After that I paint using acrylics and add a top coat. I make the beads and twirl the wires and they all get inserted and secured using glue. This fish is from a solid piece of clay that I form and add lips, fins and tail to and like the wall fish I make the beads so that they match the fish and twirl and glue the wires. These fish take a long time in the oven to cure." - Judy B. Freeman
