THE LEATHER A deep dark java brown, almost black color, this waxed flesh or "rough out" leather has a waxed finish, applied during the tanning process, making it extremely durable to most elements, with water-resistant characteristics. Meant to age over time with a patina that portrays the "rough out" side of the hide, the wax will fade over time with heavy, constant wear. If you can't get enough about Java Waxed Flesh, read our Leather Notes about it here for more details. Check out this blog visually comparing our various brown leathers.
