Jasper is the stone of selflessness; It is the mother of all stones, bringing about “Big-L” Love of all mankind. Jasper makes its effects known slowly and gradually, just like nature. It’s considered an emotionally calming stone, and can be an excellent stone for either those who are hypersensitive to crystalline energy and find it difficult to work with, or for those who like change to be a gradual, unfolding process.   Polychrome Jasper (also called Desert Jasper) is a delightful new find from Madagascar! It was discovered by geologists in 2006 while searching for the currently mined out Ocean Jasper. It was named for its wonderful range of colors, and reminds me of the rainbow hues of Mookite (they are geological cousins). Polychrome Jasper is grounding like all Jaspers, with the creativity and visual communication enhancement of Mookite or Picture Jasper. It’s brilliant to work with! It has a much lighter, more whimsical, magical energy than most Jaspers. ★ Crystal Skulls: The skull is a powerful image. It is one which corresponds with our deepest human emotions, hopes, and dreams. Providing a pathway to the inner soul. The rendering of the human skull in stone is a representation of the inner self. It is a powerful tool when used for healing and self discovery; one which acts to open the gateways to enlightenment. Working with crystal skulls can help us to re-connect with our higher selves; they also work to deepen the dream state and widen the scope of memory upon waking. Many caretakers find that just by having a crystal skull, many new insights are realized, and many new doors are opened. (source: unknown) Because of their very nature as crystals, crystal skulls amplify and anchor energy. Being a crystal cut and shaped into the form of the human skull, however, adds a wholly new set of dynamics! No longer is the mineral in its original form, it has a completely new geometry. Now the crystal can communicate through a more humanized medium. As Edgar Cayce said, "The human skull represented the perfectly designed structure through which consciousness comes into this world, and through which consciousness reaches into other worlds."
