Japanese Kama

The Japanese Kama is a time-honored garden tool, rooted in centuries of agricultural use and adapted beautifully for bonsai and fine horticulture. Designed for precision weeding, soil cutting, and root work, its curved blade and compact size offer excellent control in tight spaces—especially around trunks, nebari, and densely planted containers. Hand-forged in Japan, the razor-sharp carbon steel blade slices effortlessly through roots, weeds, and compacted soil. The natural wood handle provides a comfortable grip for extended use.  Available in two sizes:  Small: 3" blade – Ideal for fine root work, container gardening, and tight spaces Medium: 5" blade – Better for larger bonsai, surface clearing, and general garden use
