Jamison Sleep Response React Cushion Firm Mattress

The firm eight-inch Jamison for the rooms that do not need more bedThe honest verdict: the React Cushion Firm is the mattress you buy for a guest room, a kid's room, a bunk bed, or an RV when you want a real Jamison and not a bare slab of foam from a warehouse club. It is genuinely firm, staged at 8 out of 10 where 10 is the firmest, and Jamison marks it Extra Firm on its own scale. At eight inches it is the shortest and least expensive model in the Sleep Response line, and that is the point. It fits where taller beds will not, it ships free, and Jamison has been handmade in the United States since 1883. Firm here means you rest on top of the surface. A quilted gel foam layer keeps the first touch from feeling hard, but there is no thick memory foam under it to sink into. If you want plush with memory foam, look at the Ignite Plush. If you want firm over coils, the Aria is a nine-inch firm hybrid staged at 7 out of 10, a step softer. What is insideFour layers, top to bottom. The cover is a ComfortKnit MemoryQuilt Foam with Gel quilted comfort layer, so the gel foam is stitched into the quilt itself and sits right under your hand. Beneath it are Safe Slumber fire retardant fibers, which meet the federal open-flame standard without chemical flame retardant sprays. Then a Gel Cooling Foam layer, then the DualCore Support Foam Core that does the actual holding up. There are no coils anywhere in the build, and foam naturally limits motion transfer, which matters when two kids share a room. Who it fitsBack and stomach sleepers who want a level surface. Kids and teens, who tend to do fine on a firmer bed. Guests who stay a few nights at a time. Bunk beds, trundles, daybeds, and RV bunks, where a low profile keeps the surface below the guard rail and out of the ceiling. Do not buy it as the primary bed for a side sleeper who likes to sink in. A firm surface presses back at the shoulder and hip, and the Ignite Plush or the Ion Plush will suit that sleeper far better. How buying it online from Mattress Overstock worksThis is an online exclusive. The React is not on any Mattress Overstock showroom floor right now, so there is nothing to lie down on in person. If you need to feel a bed before you buy it, the showroom Jamison lineup, including the Clarion, Easton, and Vista, lives at the Jamison Bedding collection and you can try those in any of the stores. Order here and Jamison ships it direct from the factory via UPS, free, anywhere in the contiguous United States, meaning the 48 states plus Washington, DC. Alaska, Hawaii, and the United States territories are not covered. Tracking is emailed once it leaves the plant. It arrives compressed and roll-packed, so it comes through the door as a box, which matters on a bunk ladder or an RV step. Jamison backs it with a 10-year full warranty. Every Sleep Response model comes with a 60-day comfort trial, exchange only. If the feel is wrong within 60 days of delivery, email help@mattressoverstock.us and the team will set up an exchange for store credit toward a mattress of equal or greater value. You pay any price difference, and there are no cash refunds, so choose the feel on purpose. Warranty or damage questions after delivery go to the same address. Adjustable bases are typically compatible; confirm your base model with the store before ordering. Everyone at Mattress Overstock is paid the same no matter which bed you buy, so the advice you get on the phone is about fit, not commission.
