Jake Adams Elliptical Locking Pelham Bit

The Locking Elliptical Pelham Bit features a double-jointed elliptical mouthpiece with a locking mechanism for steady, even pressure distribution. The Pelham design offers multiple rein options, allowing riders to adjust the level of control and balance, making this bit ideal for horses that benefit from clear communication and adjustable leverage. Key Features of the Locking Elliptical Mouthpiece: Limited Movement: The locking mechanism restricts the degree to which the bit can collapse, preventing it from forming a sharp angle that could cause discomfort. This provides a more stable and predictable communication with the horse’s mouth. Even Pressure Distribution: By limiting excessive movement, locking bits distribute pressure more evenly across the tongue and bars. This reduces the likelihood of pinching or causing discomfort.  Enhanced Communication: The consistent action of a locking bit allows for clearer signals from the rider. This facilitates communication encouraging a more responsive horse. Pelham Design Features: Versatile Rein Options: The Pelham design allows for multiple rein placements, offering the rider flexibility in how much leverage they want to apply based on their riding situation. Balanced Leverage: The shanks of the Pelham provide balanced leverage, giving riders the option to gently lift the horse when needed while maintaining a soft, comfortable feel. Encourages Responsiveness: Even with the added leverage, the Pelham design helps horses remain responsive and engaged, promoting better communication between horse and rider.
