JAE EXTRA LOW PORT NELSON GAG

The Extra Low Port Nelson Gag Bit features a small raised port in the center of the mouthpiece, providing mild tongue relief while maintaining contact with the bars. The Nelson gag design provides lateral support and encourages head elevation. Ideal for horses that require lateral stability, steady contact, and mild tongue relief. Key Features of the Extra Low Port Mouthpiece : Anatomical Fit : The straight mouthpiece follows the natural contours of the horse’s mouth, providing even contact across the bars and tongue. Tongue Space : The extra low port creates room for the tongue, reducing interference and allowing a more natural, relaxed position. Balanced Pressure : Pressure is distributed evenly across the mouth, supporting consistent rein contact. Nelson Gag Design Features : Added Lift and Stability : The gag action applies upward pressure, encouraging the horse to lift its head, making it ideal for horses that tend to lean on the bit. Full Cheek Control : The full cheek design prevents the bit from sliding through the horse’s mouth, providing lateral stability and better guidance, especially during turns. Dual Rein Option : The Nelson Gag can be used with two reins, allowing riders to adjust between the gag and snaffle rein for more refined communication and flexibility.
