Jade Freeform

Jade is a semi-precious silicate mineral — typically nephrite or jadeite — traditionally associated with harmony, luck, and lasting friendship. This polished freeform is carved from natural jade, its soft green tone shifting gently across the curves of the stone. Each piece follows its own natural contour rather than a fixed shape, and is sold by weight, making it a calming, one-of-a-kind accent for a desk, shelf, or altar. How to use it Many people simply place a jade freeform where they will see it often — a nightstand, workspace, or meditation corner — or hold it for a few quiet minutes as a grounding pause during the day. As part of a balance & wellness practice, some rotate it alongside other stones on a small altar or tray. For a shaped, pointed form in the same jade, see our Jade Tower (Obelisk). Care & cleansing Jade is a relatively hard, durable stone and can be wiped clean with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid extended soaking, ultrasonic cleaners, or harsh chemicals, and store away from harder stones that could scratch its polished surface. This is a decorative piece — see the FAQ below for more on how to care for and cleanse it. Frequently asked questions What is jade and what is it used for? Jade is a natural silicate mineral (nephrite or jadeite) that has been carved for thousands of years and is traditionally associated with harmony, luck, and friendship. This is a decorative/symbolic piece, not a health product or medical device. Is jade water-safe? Yes, jade is a relatively hard, durable stone and can generally handle a brief rinse. Avoid prolonged soaking or harsh chemicals, and dry it with a soft cloth afterward. Can I wear or handle it daily, and is it sun-safe? This freeform is meant for display rather than wear. Jade's color is generally stable in normal light, but as with any stone, extended direct sunlight can dull the surface luster over time, so a shaded spot is best. How do I cleanse and charge it? Common traditional methods include resting the piece near a window in soft moonlight, smudging it with incense, or simply setting an intention while wiping it clean. Choose the method that feels right to you. How can I tell it's real jade? Genuine jade feels notably cool and dense for its size, has a smooth, slightly waxy-to-glassy polish, and shows natural, irregular color variation rather than a perfectly uniform hue. If you have concerns about a specific piece, a gemologist can confirm it. What pairs well with a jade freeform? Jade is often displayed alongside other calming stones such as rose quartz or green aventurine, or placed within a small crystal grid — see our crystals collection for more options.
