Pre-Order: This item is currently on pre-order. Jacobs Dreams' Jacobs Dream releases on December 26, 2025. When JACOBS DREAM released their self-titled debut on Metal Blade Records in 2000, it was immediately clear that something extraordinary had arrived on the global metal scene. The album blended the galloping urgency of Iron Maiden with the sophistication of Queensrÿche and the spiritual fire of Sacred Warrior, producing a sound both classic and utterly it's own. From the soaring, dramatic vocals of David Taylor to the intricate twin-guitar harmonies and thunderous rhythm section, the debut carved out an unmistakable sound-commanding, emotive, and unforgettable. Critics and fans alike hailed Jacobs Dream as one of the strongest debuts in the genre, a record that quickly earned reverence among collectors and power metal devotees worldwide. Now, twenty-five years later, Retroactive Records celebrates this landmark release with a 25th Anniversary vinyl edition, officially licensed from Metal Blade Records and the first time ever released in the USA. While the album saw a small vinyl pressing overseas years ago, this edition finally gives fans a definitive presentation: pressed on striking orange vinyl, strictly limited to 100 copies worldwide, and packaged with the original cover art. Even more, this is the first vinyl edition to feature the correct lineup and band member photos, along with exclusive, never-before-used band pictures taken during the original era but left unseen until now. Mastered for vinyl by Rob Colwell, the sound is bigger and bolder than ever, capturing every harmony, riff, and vocal line with renewed vitality. This anniversary release also includes the long-requested bonus track "Violent Truth", making it the most complete and essential version of the debut to date. With a guest appearance by Rob Johnson (Magnitude 9), and the kind of power and conviction that still inspires today, Jacobs Dream remains a testament to the brilliance and hunger of a band at the turn of the millennium. For fans of Iron Maiden, Queensrÿche, Sacred Warrior, Crimson Glory, and Dio, this 25th Anniversary edition is more than just a collector's piece-it's the ultimate celebration of one of the most revered debuts in American power metal history.
