jackfruit birria tacos

this is a digital recipe for you to prepare in the comfort of your home!  Birria is a traditional Mexican dish usually made with pull-apart, slow-cooked meat. It’s a lengthy recipe; the meat is typically cooked for about 3.5 hours with a spicy tomato chili sauce until the meat is easy to shred. But I have simplified and veganized! & I can’t wait to share! My vegan birria tacos are the meat-free version of the popular and sought-after Birria recipe, using Jackfruit as my meat replacement. I simplified this recipe to make it much easier and faster than the traditional method since jackfruit shreds and cooks quickly. The good news is you don’t need to wait for 3+ hours to enjoy! I can’t wait to show you what veggie I snuck in the recipe. This ones sure to having you coming back for more😋 New to jackfruit? Jackfruit is a tropical fruit with a very mild flavor and a texture that makes it a great meat-replacement. Jackfruit looks like shredded meat when pressed or mashed with a fork. It can also crisp up well.  Gluten-free
