Lady Lancaster Light Weight Vintage Star Jacket

This is an American antique quilt made circa 1930s to 1950s. It is a traditional Broken Star Quilt Pattern with a really nice elevated border. We've highlighted this border on the sleeves. This quilt was made by a master. It has been hand quilted, hand sewn, and has crisp points. In our opinion, the jacket is thin, lightweight with a little loft, super soft, and has a great drape. The quilt is in excellent condition. The maker backed the quilt(inside of jacket) with a cotton muslin fabric. The quilt is preloved and will show minor signs of wear appropriate for its age. This jacket features side vents for generous movement and a beautiful drape. This jacket has two snaps at the tips of the collar that secure the lapel if desired. This jacket has two generous pockets. Fold the architectural collar down to create a lapel if desired. The Helen Jacket has a generous fit and is not meant to have a tailored look. One Size Fits Most Measurements 36” back of the neck to the bottom of the hem 36” laying flat, armpit to armpit Please note that most of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabrics reflect this. Some fabrics can be older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
