Jack Daniel's Triple Mash 700ML

Jack Daniel's Triple Mash 700ML is a bottled-in-bond American whiskey blending three distinct Jack Daniel's spirits in a 700ml bottle at 50% ABV (100 proof). It earned an A- from Drinkhacker and a 4/5 from The Whiskey Jug, marking the first time Jack Daniel's American Malt whiskey appeared in any commercial release. Quick Facts: ABV: 50% (100 Proof)  |  Origin: Lynchburg, Tennessee, USA  |  Bottled-in-Bond (Minimum 4 Years)  |  Distillery: Jack Daniel Distillery Production & Heritage The Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee — one of the oldest registered distilleries in the United States — created Triple Mash by combining 60% Tennessee Rye, 20% Tennessee Whiskey, and 20% American Malt. The American Malt component, made from 100% malted barley and distilled at the Lynchburg facility since 2013, had never appeared in a Jack Daniel's release before this expression. The resulting effective mashbill sits at roughly 43.6% rye, 29.6% malted barley, and 26.8% corn, and the whiskey meets all bottled-in-bond requirements — distilled by a single distiller during a single distilling season and aged a minimum of four years in a federally bonded warehouse. Tasting Notes Aroma: Red raspberry and dark cherry lead the nose, followed by honey, banana bread, and a distinct marzipan sweetness. Deeper inhalation reveals roasted grain, copper, and orange zest threading through the rye-forward profile. Taste: The entry is rye-driven — baking spice and cinnamon hit immediately, giving way to a mid-palate of vanilla, sweet cream, and caramel. Brown sugar and dried cherries build toward the peak alongside malty cereal notes and a subtle milk chocolate richness. The 100-proof strength carries the flavors with authority without overwhelming heat. Finish: Long and well-rounded, with roasted oak, honey, and soft malt lingering steadily. Apricot and green apple provide a slightly tart counterpoint as the warmth gradually recedes. How to Drink Triple Mash Neat or with a few drops of water is the ideal starting point — the 100-proof backbone opens up with dilution, allowing the malt and rye interplay to expand. A large ice cube also works well, taming the proof while keeping the cherry and spice intact. In cocktails, the rye-heavy blend and bottled-in-bond strength punch through mixers convincingly. A Manhattan showcases the dark cherry and baking spice notes alongside sweet vermouth. A Boulevardier lets the malty sweetness balance Campari's bitterness without getting lost. A Whiskey Sour benefits from the 100-proof intensity and the subtle fruit character that lifts through citrus. Best For Jack Daniel's loyalists exploring the distillery's more ambitious releases Rye whiskey fans seeking a blended expression with malt complexity Gifting a whiskey enthusiast who values bottled-in-bond authenticity Building a home bar lineup of proof-forward cocktail bases Frequently Asked Questions What does Triple Mash taste like? Triple Mash is rye-forward with prominent dark cherry, baking spice, and cinnamon, balanced by malty sweetness, vanilla, and caramel. The 100-proof strength carries a long, warming finish of roasted oak and honey. How does Triple Mash compare to Jack Daniel's Bonded? Both expressions are bottled-in-bond at 100 proof and were released together, but Jack Daniel's Bonded uses only the classic Tennessee Whiskey mashbill (corn-dominant), while Triple Mash blends three grain recipes with rye making up the majority at 60%. Triple Mash skews notably spicier and more complex due to the rye and malted barley components. Is Triple Mash good for sipping neat? Yes — the bottled-in-bond 100-proof strength is assertive but not harsh, and the layered grain complexity rewards patient sipping. A few drops of water can further unlock the malt and fruit character. Where is Triple Mash made? Triple Mash is produced entirely at the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg, Moore County, Tennessee. All three component whiskeys — Tennessee Rye, Tennessee Whiskey, and American Malt — are distilled and aged on site. What foods pair well with Triple Mash? Smoked brisket or pulled pork complements the rye spice and oak character. Dark chocolate truffles echo the malt and cherry notes. Sharp aged cheddar stands up to the 100-proof intensity. Pecan pie mirrors the brown sugar and caramel sweetness. Charcuterie with dried fruits bridges the whiskey's fruit and spice range. What sizes does Triple Mash come in? The standard offering is the 700ml bottle, which is the format widely available in international markets. Is Triple Mash worth the price? Triple Mash positions as a premium expression within the Jack Daniel's range, sitting above the core Old No. 7 and Bonded bottlings. The bottled-in-bond designation, minimum four-year age, and the novelty of the American Malt component provide strong value for its tier. Why Triple Mash? The defining achievement of this expression is introducing Jack Daniel's American Malt whiskey — a 100% malted barley spirit distilled since 2013 — into a commercial release for the first time. That ingredient, combined with Tennessee Rye at 60% of the blend, produces a grain complexity that no other Jack Daniel's bottling replicates. The bottled-in-bond standard guarantees a minimum of four years of aging and transparent production accountability, while the 100-proof bottling ensures the flavors remain intact in cocktails and over ice. For drinkers who know Jack Daniel's primarily through Old No. 7, Triple Mash represents a serious step into what the Lynchburg distillery is capable of when it departs from its flagship formula.
