Jaboticaba Tree ‘Precoce’ (Plinia cauliflora hybrid)

An excellent tropical fruiting plant for containers, this selection of Jaboticaba is early fruiting with flowers and fruit appearing when plants are 2-3’ tall. Unlike the standard Jaboticaba, which can take 5-12 years to fruit, ‘Precoce’ usually begins fruiting in its third year. Also known as the Brazilian Grape, the fruit forms on the old woody stems and ripens to a shiny black ball with a sweet interior pulp that surrounds the seed. It flowers and fruits on and off throughout the year and mature plants are highly productive. Please note: Tip burn on the leaves is normal and does not affect how the plant grows, flowers, or fruits. Giving the plant rain water can help reduce tip burn. Available in a 4" pot.
