IZZO Lite Caixa, Aluminum shell, 6 strings, 12" x 7.9"

Bring the sharp, crisp drive of São Paulo samba directly to your bateria. Built by IZZO in São Paulo, Brazil, this 12" x 20cm Caixa IZZO Lite is part of their popular Lite Series, engineered specifically to give players maximum projection without heavy shoulder fatigue during long rehearsals, street parades, or stage shows. Featuring a lightweight aluminum shell, standard 6-tension tuning system, and durable synthetic heads, this caixa delivers the signature dry, cutting attack and snare buzz needed to hold down the group's drive.  Nobody likes breaking caixa strings mid-rehearsal. This model uses a double-strung 6-string layout routed through 3 rim holes, minimizing the footprint on the drumhead. Less string real estate in the strike zone means cleaner stick contact and far fewer snapped strings. Key Features Authentic Origin: Made in São Paulo, Brazil by IZZO Percussão. Lightweight Build: Aluminum shell keeps total weight low, ideal for long rehearsals and mobile street play. Sharp, Crisp Tone: Standard 12" diameter with 20cm depth provides a bright, dry, cutting snare response. Synthetic Heads: Resilient to humidity and climate changes—ready to play out of the box. Complete Your Setup To get the most out of your new caixa, pair it with authentic accessories designed specifically for Brazilian street performance and bateria play: Jorginho Shoulder Straps: Keep your caixa secure, level, and comfortable during long rehearsals and parades. A proper dual-hook shoulder strap takes the strain off your body so you can focus on driving the rhythm. Caixa Sticks: Pair this drum with dense wooden caixa sticks for caixa da guerra. The wood of these sticks is dense therefore they allow you to play with higher volume than domestic ash or maple sticks.  Replacement Caixa Heads: Keep a spare synthetic head in your bag so you’re never caught unprepared. Stock up on durable 12" replacement heads engineered to hold high tension and deliver maximum projection. Caixa Strings: Fresh strings make all the difference in achieving that bright, responsive snare buzz. Keep high-tensile replacement string on hand for quick field swaps and optimal snare response.
