Italiano

Parisi Coffee's Italiano is a love letter to traditional Italian espresso culture, reimagined with premium Latin American beans. This carefully crafted blend delivers the full body and deep flavor you expect from a classic dark roast, but with a sweetness and complexity that sets it apart from one-dimensional dark coffees. Previously known as Italian Blend, this Kansas City roaster's signature offering brings old-world espresso bar character to your home setup. Tasting NotesThe first sip reveals rich chocolate and molasses sweetness, anchored by a velvety, full body that coats the palate. Parisi roasts this blend to the darker side of the spectrum—deep enough to develop caramelized sugars and roasted notes, but with enough restraint to preserve the inherent character of the beans. The finish is smooth and long, with lingering dark chocolate notes and just a whisper of natural sweetness. There's no ash or char here; instead, you'll find a balanced cup that showcases why dark roasts don't have to mean burnt roasts. Brew MethodsItaliano truly shines as espresso, where its full body and chocolate-forward profile create shots with exceptional crema and the kind of robust flavor that cuts through milk beautifully. Pull it as a straight shot for a traditional Italian experience, or use it as the foundation for cappuccinos and lattes where its sweetness plays perfectly with steamed milk. It's also excellent in a French press, where the immersion method amplifies its body and brings out those molasses undertones. Moka pot enthusiasts will find this blend delivers authentic stovetop espresso character. For drip or pour over, use a slightly coarser grind to prevent over-extraction while still capturing the blend's inherent richness.
