Isfahan Opium Pictorial Rug - 2' x 2'9

This vintage pictorial rug was woven in Isfahan in the 1980s. The scene depicts two men and a woman sitting on a simple striped rug, smoking opium. The woman stares wantonly at the smoker as her companion (the drinker) looks upon her with jealousy. An intricate curvilinear border frames the scene. In perfect condition, with no signs of wear.
